Ways to Help

We are a *community driven* festival.
We need your participation to make
this happen for the community at large.

To all volunteers we can only offer free admission to the festival. For presenters, we only offer honorariums, traveling expenses, and meals to the most well known authors and elders, and sometimes to those who travel great distances. This is negotiated in advance through contracts.

Write to us at: PaganOdyssey@aol.com

Ways you can contribute

SPONSOR US!
Yes, the festival does require money to run!  If you would like to see more well-known guest speakers and bands, you can help us grow. Please consider becoming a sponsor of our festival. Sponsors will be given free advertising in our program.

FESTIVAL VOLUNTEER
Want to help or can't afford admission? Never fear. We need people for set-up, break down, fire watch, security, go-fers and lots more. We ask that our volunteers put in four hours per day for the duration of the festival. Please contact us if you would like to be a volunteer.

"Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in."

To Become a Volunteer:
1. You must be available
Thursday morning at 10 am to help set-up the festival.
    You must be available until
Sunday at 8:30 pm to assist with clean up.
You must be put in at minimum of four hours per day of solid work.

You must be willing to work hard and to co-operate with staff fully.
You must have a good attitude. "Can-do" people only.

If you are not available for all four days for the time specified do not apply.
If you arrive late, you will be expected to pay
FULL PRICE for your admission.
If you are a no-show for any reason, you will never be allowed to volunteer again.
If staff feels you have not complied at any time,
you will be asked to pay admission instead or go home.

2. Please write us at PaganOdyssey@aol.com to apply.
Tell us how you wish to contribute - skills, etc.

3. You must fill out the Volunteer form and send it in by April 15th.

4. You will also need to sign up for our e-list at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PaganOdyssey

SORRY, NO SCHOLARSHIPS!
"Time or treasure" is an old church saying. If you can't give one, you give the other. We have volunteers instead of scholarships. Sorry, but we also find it demeaning to give scholarships if someone doesn't have funds, and it does not create empowerment. Just about anyone can volunteer or can share a talent at the festival. And again, we are a community driven festival - no elitism here!
Applications for volunteers will not be accepted after April 15th

MUSIC
Everyone loves music! If you are interested in playing at our festival, please let us know!  Please send us a CD, or consider playing back up for one of our bands. Light, sound and stage people are always needed too!

As with all volunteers, you must be willing to co-operate with staff fully. You must have a good positive attitude. "Can-do" people only. Everyone here works hard, we expect you to as well.

PRESENTERS AND TEACHERS
Teaching is often by invitation, but we encourage members of other local groups, covens and organizations to be actively involved. We ask that you be as flexible as possible for scheduling dates and times, otherwise we might not be able to include your class. Friday Morning/Afternoon and Sunday Morning are often available.
